In a saucepan, heat some butter for a minute, then add 1 chopped onion.
After a few minutes add chicken broth (can or home-made with a cube) , a cup of water, 1 tbsp of brown sugar, 1 tbsp ground ginger, salt and pepper as much as you like. Stir all ingredients together.
Add the pumpkin puree ( fresh or canned ) and a cup of milk. Cook on medium heat for 15 min.
When ready and cooled, pour it into the food processor and blend for 1 minute.
Afterwards return the soup to the saucepan, heat for a minute, then serve garnishing it with a sprinkle of cinnamon or ginger.
Unfortunately I bought it ready, with crumbs already. I only boiled the asparagus and potatoes to add as a side, seasoned with salt and rosemary. As regards the sauce, I bought it powdered and cooked it with water and flour – as per its package instructions.
